My life has been dedicated as a Healthcare professional in the Operating Room, but the time has come for a change. My coding journey started at the end of 2021. I have committed hundreds of hours to learning the art of coding and web development through self-taught learning platforms and structured bootcamp courses through Nucamp. Coding has quickly become a passion that I knew I would love. Below is a list of personal and school related projects.
Website's were simple back in the day! I remember the first website I built back in the late 90's using homestead.com, a site dedicated to my Rainbow 6 clan on PC at the time! Man I don't miss those dial-up 56k days. I have become proficient with HTML5, CSS3, JS, Bootstrap, React/Redux, and React Native libraries.
In the current role of a Surgical Assistant on the CVT team at Mountain View Hospital. (Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular.) My role enables me to assist all of the surgeons I work with throughout many different surgical procedures under there direction. Along with my surgical skills, I have held the role of Manager to the Surgical Heart team for 5 years, gaining many skills in team organization, disciplinary actions, hiring, and most of all learning how to listen and help my staff.

Hospital LinkIn my previous role of a Surgical Tech I had the opportunity to work in many different specialties inlcuding: Obgyn, General, Ortho, Podiatry, Vascular, Thoracic, and Cardiac. As a surgical tech your role includes organizing instrumentation and supplies for surgical procedures, as well as handing the above to the surgeon or assistant throughout a case. It took a great amount of organizational skills to not only know and understand the procedures themselves, but the preferences for each of the individual surgeons and assistants I associated with.
I have to pay taxes on the money earned from Google, so I guess its a job! I started with the idea of making YouTube videos related to my job, as their was not a lot of information about it on the internet. I self taught through research on the internet how to make a channel, help it grow, SEO, Thumbnail creation, Editing, Videography, etc. It has been a great experience. I have delt with and met some great people from it, but I only saw it as something fun to do on the side. Despite the success of the channel, I have stepped away from further video creation to focus elsewhere.
Mountain biking has been a huge part of my life outside of work and family time. It is by far one of my greatest outlet's and destressor's from some of the trials and tribulations that life has thrown my way. Aside from biking, I enjoy playing video games, golfing, videography, and camping.
